Embrace the Warmth
Earlier this month, Pantone unleashed it 25th Color of Year, Peach Fuzz. The name garnered some chuckles but the color has some magical affects. An all-embracing spirit that enriches mind, body, and soul, Peach Fuzz is sure to make a mark on design this coming Year.
Through thoughtful consideration, Pantone noticed that the world could use some more nurturing, empathy and compassion. Peace. What color would spread this message, bring us warmth and nurturing? Peach Fuzz

Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone’s executive director, suggests “It awakens our senses to the comforting presence of tactility and cocooned warmth.” 2024’s color of the year has been chosen as a hue that brings feelings of kindness, warmth, compassion. It is meant to evoke a sense of community, coziness and caring.
I would add that it is a bright warmth, a bright coziness that not only warms you but wakes you at the same time. Magical? Right! But how to you incorporate this magic into your home?
How to Design with Peach Fuzz
Domino Magazine describes Peach Fuzz (also known as Pantone 13-1023) as gentle, light, and almost velvety in texture. Domino Mag also totes that this color will reflect light in just a way to make your skin glow, so they suggest painting your bathroom with it.
Creating a Warming Ambiance
Peach Fuzz is meant to create a warming ambiance. So think of adding items in this color that also create a warming ambiance to amplify the warmth of both. Items like candles, pillows and throws. Check out these items I found on Etsy:
Small Touches Go Along Way
You don’t have to go all in with the color of the year either. If you just want to add a taste of it to a room consider adding a rug that has a hint of it in the background Add a small piece of art to your bathroom wall, or a small touch of peach fuzz to your kitchen with a fruit bowl, salt and pepper shakers or table linens.
