Do you envision having the type of home that is so inviting that everyone wants to gather there? Are you ready for a random friend or family member to stop by and enjoy the beauty of your space? Making your home feel like there is a standing invitation to your guests is the way to achieve this lifestyle.
Selecting the right pieces can make a world of difference. These pieces invite random gatherings or a casual evening with close friends. This can be achieved with simple design elements that make entertaining a breeze.

Casual Elegant Dining
Elegant dining does not have to be stuffy or uninviting. Choosing pieces with natural elements and durable materials can help you achieve this goal. Here are some of my favorite Arhaus Collections that, when paired together, can make your home oh so inviting.
The Saint Germain

Sleek and modern, the Saint Germain collection offers a variety of bases and tops. You can choose from these options to create the perfect dining table. The natural elements of the stone or wood tops combine with wood or metal bases. They offer a seamless beauty for a casual yet elegant dining experience.
My favorite combination is the Cream Marble top with the Launette base in antique bronze. This table will be timeless and adds a warmth that builds an inviting dining room. Mix these elements with some warm wood tones. You will create a dining space that warmly invites your guest.
Proper Storage
When creating a welcoming space, I always make sure there is plenty of storage. It helps to hide away all the clutter you don’t want shown to your guest. To achieve this, I like pieces like the Hattie Cabinet. It has spaces to show off your best dishes. It also provides hidden storage for everything you don’t want seen. Pair the new mappa burl wood finish to continue the warm natural elements throughout your space.

Comfortable Seating
Some dining chairs are made for people to only sit in them for the meal and that is it. But then there are other chairs. They are made for conversation, a couple glasses of wine, and a friendly game of cards. Inviting your guests to come back and really enjoy themselves takes the latter.
That brings me to my absolute favorite chair, the Aimee. It comes in some wonderful stain-resistant Crypton© fabrics and a few wood finishes. Once you sit in it, you will understand. It just invites your guests to chat. Your guests will have a relaxing meal.
Lighting the Experience

Lighting can be key in any space. Too much light makes you feel like you’re in an exam room. Too little light, and you can’t see the food on your plate. Lighting creates a mood. The featured light in this design is the Emmet Round Chandelier. I selected this one because it offers open lighting, but the wattage is not overpowering. I also love the sandblasted brass finish. It adds an organic texture to metal. This helps us achieve a warm, inviting aesthetic.
The Finishing Touches
Completing your design brings the whole room together to achieve a standing invitation for your friends and family. Adding artwork, accessories, plants, and rugs are like jewelry to any outfit. Accessories are also very personal. Think of your favorite pair of earrings that you bought at a small, handmade boutique. You are in love with them. They make you so happy when you wear them. However, someone else may think they are ugly (gasp). This is why I don’t get a ton into over-accessorizing at the beginning of a design. You need to add your touches bit by bit.
In this design, I chose two key pieces. They would be the priority when beginning the accessorizing process. These pieces are a rug and statement art. Continuing with the inviting nature-themed design, this abstract landscape panel set features blue-grey clouds. Warm green tones appear in the mossy river bank. I pulled out the greens in this image onto the floor in the Jackson round sage rug. These two pieces give you the building blocks. They enable you to start hunting for beautiful dishes, vases, and other accessories to complete your design.
